The Day is FINALLY here!!! Our Journey to Jay!

Hello everyone! We are so excited to announce that the time has finally come for us to go to India to get our son Jay! Finally!! We are so thankful for the countless prayers that have been prayed on our behalf during this process. We would love for you to continue to pray alongside us as we journey to India to get our son! We believe that prayer is powerful and invite you to pray specifically with us for each day on the journey. We thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity in going to God boldly on our behalf! We are so grateful for you all!

“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

General Prayer Requests:

1. Pray that God’s glory would be proclaimed.

2. Pray for Safe Travels and safety from Covid and other sickness.

3. Pray that God would replace any anxiety we have with His peace.

4. Pray that we will have strength to endure through spiritual warfare and hardships.

5. Pray that God would bring healing and comfort to Jay. Pray that the sorrow he will experience will point him to the hope found in Jesus.

6. Pray that our family will adjust well.

7. Pray for our girls while we are gone from them and our families who are caring for them.

Specific Ways to Pray:

June 22nd-24th:

Pray for us as we start our nearly 40-hour journey to get to Jay’s City. Pray for peace and safety as we take multiple flights, one very long 15-hour international flight, followed by more flights and long car rides. Also pray for protection from covid and ease through all of the regulations and loopholes that are required because of covid that we will have to navigate such as additional covid tests, paperwork, etc.

June 24th: Pray for Jay as we meet him for the first time in person. Because of covid this transition is going to likely be very difficult for him. Instead of easing into transfer of care, which is ideal and gives them time to adjust, our transfer is going to happen very quickly and there will not be time for us to slowly bond or get used to each other. We will basically be picking him up and leaving shortly after. He is likely to be very afraid and nervous. Please pray for Jay and supernatural peace to overcome his anxious heart. That he would feel loved and safe with us. We also have a three-hour car ride right after we pick him up which could also be scary for him. We will then stay our first night together, just us as a family.

June 25th: We fly back to Delhi where we will remain the rest of the trip. We will also apply for our exit permits this day which we have to have to leave the country with Jay.

June 26th: Rest days for our family. These days will be spent loving on Jay. Pray for attachment to grow and trust to be built.

June 27th: Rest Day 2

June 28th: Please pray for Jays Medical appointment. This is needed for us to get his visa. Pray for this appointment to go smoothly.

June 29th: Pray for our US Embassy Visa appointment. This is where we submit a huge load of paperwork and interview with the embassy before obtaining Jay’s Visa. Pray this goes smoothly and that we obtain his Visa quickly.

June 30th-July 2nd: Days that we will wait on the Exit permit to come. We will spend this time bonding with Jay and getting to know all about him before coming home. Exit permits can take up to 5-7 Business days or could come sooner. Right now, we are hoping to start the journey home on July 2nd, but it could be a couple days sooner or later than that. We also must be covid tested again so prayers that they come back quickly and clear.

July 3rd: If we can arrive home on this date or if it is another date please pray for our travels. For safety but also just prayers for the long journey home with an active toddler! Haha. Prayers for safety and our health too.

We are so excited to get home with our sweet boy and be reunited as a family of 5!
